Printable Format76-12a01. Definitions. As used in this act, unless the context otherwise requires:
(a) "Secretary" means the secretary for aging and disability services.
(b) "Institution" means the following institutions: Osawatomie state hospital, Larned state hospital, south central regional mental health hospital, Parsons state hospital and Kansas neurological institute.
(c) "Director" or "commissioner" means the commissioner of community services and programs.

Topeka State Hospital was closed during Fiscal Year 1997 and Winfield State Hospital and Training Center was closed during Fiscal Year 1998 in accordance with the recommendations of the hospital closure commission which was established pursuant to L. 1995, ch. 270, § 65.
