59-2289. Appraisal may be ordered. The district court in its discretion may order the appraisal of the property before an order refusing letters is made under K.S.A. 59-2287. The appraisal shall be made by one or more appraisers approved by the court and the cost shall be paid by the persons entitled to the property in accordance with the order of the court.
