48-3056. (KCMJ Art. 128) Simple assault. (a) Any person subject to this code shall be guilty of simple assault and shall be punished at the direction of a commanding officer if such person:

(1) Attempts to do bodily harm to another person;

(2) offers to do bodily harm to another person; or

(3) does bodily harm to another person.

(b) As used in this section, "another person" means a member, cadet, trainee or recruit of the state military forces, the United States armed forces or the state military forces of another state.
