CASE ANNOTATIONS

1. Whether prosecution is required to give notice of grounds upon which departure is sought examined. State v. Gideon, 257 Kan. 591, 617, 894 P.2d 850 (1995).

2. Whether court must make findings of fact of reasons for presumptive sentence departure if hearing not requested examined. State v. Mares, 20 Kan. App. 2d 971, 972, 893 P.2d 296 (1995).
